MAN Family Wines is the brainchild of José Condé and brothers Tyrrel & Phillip Myburgh. MAN was named after the three partners’ wives, Marie, Anette & Nicky. Starting in 2001 with 300 cases of Pinotage made in a tractor shed, today MAN produces close to 300 000 cases and exports to more than 45 countries.

A SENSE OF PLACE

We produce wines from the Agter-Paarl region in South Africa. Located between Paarl Mountain and Cape Town and within the greater Paarl winemaking region, this area is characterized by rolling hills and large pockets of deep shale soils.

“IT ALL STARTED AS A SIMPLE IDEA..."

To make a wine that we’d love to buy. We wanted quality wine that offered excellent value and great packaging. Not exactly an epiphany perhaps, but enough to drive us into action.

A GROWING PARTNERSHIP

MAN has a partnership with a group of growers in this region, farming over 2200 hectares of low-yielding vineyards, including what is arguably the largest collection of old-vine chenin blanc in the country.
