THE ROYAL CHATEAU DE COGNAC

The Royal Château de Cognac, historical Castle of the city of Cognac, has seen the birth in 1494 of King of France, François 1st. The King has left his mark on the architecture of the Château, a Royal Heritage we can still see today.

THE UNIQUE HUMID CELLARS

Beneath the pioneering Great State Hall lie the humid cellars of the Royal Château de Cognac. Bordering the Charente River, the 3-metre thick walls of the cellars create a unique environment that ensure faster evaporation of alcohol over volume.

TASTE THE CHATEAU

The unique ageing conditions of the Royal Château de Cognac creates a signature taste. The eaux-de-vie that have been aged for more than 10 years develops a distinct rancio profile that has been masterfully blended by our Maître de Chai.
