Rioja Garnacha

Anciano Rioja comes from the leading producer Criadores de Rioja located near Logroño, at the heart of Rioja Alta. The winery belongs to a family with one of the longest traditions in Rioja winemaking and our winemaker has access to some of the finest wines in Rioja.

Mature vines are grown in premium high altitude (500-700m) vineyards on gravel and sandy soils in Central Rioja. Hand-harvested when perfectly ripe in late September. Top-class grapes are fermented in stainless steel tanks with the temperature controlled at 28°C.

Bright, unoaked, medium -bodied red wine. Ripe wild berry and cherry fruit notes with sweet aroma of spring flowers. Beautifully smooth and silky, fresh and fruity, with rounded tannins. Suitable for Vegetarians and Vegans.

A great accompaniment to grilled vegetables, red meats and poultry, rice and pasta dishes.
