Winemaking notes
Careful grape selection upon arrival at the winery allows for extended macerations in order to ensure optimal extraction of tannins, color, and aromatic compounds. Fermentation is carried out under controlled conditions, followed by several rackings in large American oak vats to refine the structure before the aging process.
Viticultural notes
This wine comes from selected vineyards located in Rioja Alta and Rioja Media, two complementary sub-regions known for producing structured yet balanced wines. The blend is composed mainly of Tempranillo, supported by Garnacha, Mazuelo, and Graciano, which together bring complexity, freshness, and aging potential. The vineyards are managed to achieve optimal ripeness and concentration, allowing for the production of a classic Rioja Reserva style.
Tasting notes
The wine shows an intense cherry-red color with ruby highlights and reveals a complex aromatic profile dominated by red fruits, licorice, and subtle smoky notes, which evolve toward more animal and tertiary nuances after opening. On the palate, it is long and well-structured, with a persistent finish where the fruit character reappears, supported by integrated tannins and a balanced overall profile.
Pairing notes
This wine pairs well with grilled and roasted meats, stews, and aged cheeses, as well as traditional Mediterranean cuisine. It is best served around 16 to 18°C and can benefit from decanting to fully express its aromatic complexity. Thanks to its structure and aging, it also offers good cellaring potential.
