Winemaking notes
Classical vinification with destalked, crushed grapes using the latest fermentation technology and long maceration periods. Aged for 24 to 30 months in American oak casks with appropriately-timed rackings.
Viticultural notes
100% Tempranillo. Bodegas Riojanas controls more than 100 hectares. From the best vineyards on clay-limestone in Cenicero, San Vicente de la Sonsierra and nearby towns. The quintessential grape in Rioja is Tempranillo, but Bodegas Riojanas also has one of the largest areas dedicated to Mazuelo and Graciano within the denomination, varieties that provide greater personality to their wines.
Tasting notes
Selected wines from the best vintages. Unmistakable personality of Cenicero wine. Ochre red with vinous character. Balanced, sensual taste, providing a general feeling of opulence. Good body and balance between tannins and acidity. Exceptionally persistent. At an ideal time to drink
