Winemaking notes
After pre-fermentation cold maceration, alcoholic
fermentation is carried out using our own native yeast, isolated from our own vineyard. After this, the wine is left to rest for the necessary time period, stabilised and finally bottled.
Viticultural notes
The Albarifio grapes that make up Abadfa de San Campio 2022 were selected around Goian. These grapes were picked after a spring with little rain and an extremely hot, dry summer. Fortunately, light rainfall in early September enabled the grapes to ripen well. The result is a surprisingly ripe Albarifio, which has developed into a wine with intense aromas, a powerful mouthfeel and great freshness.
Tasting notes
In the 2022 vintage, the aromas of white stone fruits such as peach stand out, followed by fresh citrus nuances of grapefruit and lime, ending with a subtle hint of banana and pineapple. This warm vintage is reflected in a surprisingly powerful and textured taste. Without losing any of its usual freshness, the wine is fleshy, with a powerful and sparkling mouthfeel typical of a vintage characterised by its excellent ripeness. Ample retronasal aromas of white and citric fruit, with a fresh and very long finish.
