Tri County Pinot Noir

The pinot grapes that go into the Cherry Pie Tri-County Pinot Noir are harvested at night to keep them cool, which creates stable sugar levels and better levels of acidity, as well as ensuring the fruit is less bruised in transport to the winery. The Napa County grapes are sourced from Carneros which is the coolest of the three climates and provides bright earthy red fruit to the blend. San Luis Obispo’s climate generated by the proximity to the Pacific Ocean is vital for the freshness and vibrancy of this wine. The Santa Barbara County grapes benefit from sandy soils, bright sunshine and cool ocean breezes resulting in intense aromatics.

Cherry Pie Tri-County Pinot Noir is concentrated with aromas of macerated cherries, cranberries and dark oolong tea. On the palate, this wine has brambly notes of mulberries, ripe Bing cherries with notes of baking spices and sweet toasty oak with a long, silky smooth finish.
