Winemaking notes
Harvest began on August 16th, 2023 at Château de Selle and Clos Mireille, concluding on September 28th at Château Romassan. An exceptional and unprecedented late summer heatwave required a swift, precise harvest to fully preserve the grapes' aromatic freshness. Vinification carried out with the meticulous care and tradition that defines Domaines Ott, allowing pure terroir expression to shine.
Viticultural notes
A blend of 70% Sémillon and 30% Rolle from Clos Mireille's 56-hectare vineyard on the prestigious La Londe hillside, where the vines descend to the Mediterranean shoreline. Shallow, well-draining schist and quartz soils, bathed in Mediterranean sunshine and swept by near-constant sea breezes. The estate encompasses 174 hectares classified as a nature reserve — an exceptional setting within the AOC Côtes de Provence.
Tasting notes
Brilliant gold, reminiscent of the heart of a linden blossom. The nose is intense and refined: broom flowers, citron zest and pine buds unfold with elegance. The palate is broad and complex, balanced between zesty freshness and silky smoothness, with notes of white peaches in syrup opening onto delicate hints of toasted nuts. The finish is gently citrusy and of exceptional finesse.
Pairing notes
Serve between 12–14 °C. Outstanding with noble fish (sea bass, sea bream), shellfish, lobster, cream-based poultry and soft-rind cheeses. A great Provence white — lightly decanted if desired — best enjoyed over the next 5 to 8 years.
