Mr. George Edition 1 Glen Grant 1953

An extremely long-aged single malt from the Glen Grant Distillery, which spent a massive 67 years maturing in a single first-fill sherry butt, from 1953 to 2021! Named in honour of George Urquhart, member of the second generation of the family that runs Gordon & MacPhail, Mr. George Legacy pays homage to how he shaped and influenced the company's single malt range (and single malts in general) for decades to come. Only 355 bottles were produced.

Aromas of beeswax, stewed fruit, toasted hazelnuts, orange peel and ginger fill the nose, complemented by notes of autumnal spice, plum, blackcurrant and treacle throughout the palate, as well as hints of mint and bonfire embers that linger in the finish.
