Winemaking notes
Manual harvesting with selective sorting, traditional vinification followed by aging in barrels (30% new).
Viticultural notes
The 9ha vineyard, owned by Jean-François Janoueix, benefits from a microclimate. It is protected from the north winds by the hill of Château Tertre Daugay, Grand Cru Classé from which it is only separated by a national road. Its location optimizes the exceptional development of the maturity of the grapes for St-Émilion. The soil is siliceous on a gravelly and ferruginous subsoil so precious for the aromas of the wine.
Tasting notes
Wine with bouquet and great finesse, quickly giving an excellent bottle, which however can be kept for 10 to 25 years depending on the vintage.
Pairing notes
Can accompany grilled and roasted red meats and game.
