Winemaking notes
After a healthy and uniform harvest, grapes are carefully sorted to ensure perfect ripeness. Fermentation takes place under controlled temperatures with regular pump-overs to extract finesse and structure. Aging in barrels allows the wine to develop complexity and elegance while preserving the purity of the fruit and the expression of the terroir.
Viticultural notes
The vineyard, situated at altitude on clay-limestone soils, benefits from excellent drainage and optimal water supply. The vines grow uniformly, overcoming occasional heat or rain, and reach perfect balance at veraison. Careful vineyard management ensures consistently high-quality grapes.
Tasting notes
Château de Ferrand 2019 is characterized on the nose by a bright burst of fresh fruit. The Merlot contributes smooth and velvety notes, balanced by the Cabernet Franc, which provides tannic structure and freshness, finishing with great finesse. A wine of perfect balance, marked by freshness, elegance, and beautiful aromatic intensity. 95/100 James Suckling
