Winemaking notes
An iconic blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon from the estate's Fojaneghe vineyard, planted on wide sun-drenched terraces overlooking the Adige river. Aged in French oak barriques for optimal tannin integration and deep aromatic complexity. The first Bordeaux-style blend ever produced in Italy, born in 1961 from the visionary intuition of Count Federico Bossi Fedrigotti.
Viticultural notes
Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon grown on the historic Fojaneghe estate, IGT Vigneti delle Dolomiti, Trentino. Vines are planted on wide terraces enjoying the alpine microclimate of the Adige valley. The Bossi Fedrigotti family has owned this estate since the 18th century; the estate is today a partner of Masi Agricola.
Tasting notes
Deep garnet ruby with brilliant highlights. The nose is elegant and complex: wild berries, blackberry, ripe plum and sweet spices. The palate is structured yet refined, with perfectly integrated silky tannins and a sumptuous, velvety texture. The finish is long, persistent and deeply noble. Ageing potential of 15 to 20 years.
Pairing notes
Serve at 18 °C in large Bordeaux glasses. Decanting for at least 30 minutes is recommended. Outstanding with roast red meats, game, bold aged cheeses, and mushroom or truffle-based dishes.
