Winemaking notes
Nestled in the hills on the North West side of the Stags Leap District, Silverado Vineyards Winery has been a favorite wine country destination and home to some of the Napa Valley’s most-recognized wines for almost forty years. In 1981, Ron and Diane Disney Miller and her mother, Lillian Disney, established Silverado Vineyards to make wines from the historic sites of the estate the family owns.
Viticultural notes
From the Vineburg vineyard on Carneros flats south of Sonoma, as well as from the steep Firetree vineyard, with sandstone and shale heavily affected by San Pablo bay breezes. 60% Stainless Steel fermented, 40% fermented in French oak barrels and puncheons. Aged 9 months in French oak, 5% new.
Tasting notes
Pale straw color. Aromas of light tropical fruit and yellow apple with floral highlights. Medium-bodied with fresh, juicy fruit flavors of tropical citrus, pear and perfectly ripe apple. Nicely rounded edges give a light toasty softness to the moderately long, mineral-driven finish.
