Winemaking notes
From a 10-hectare plot, this wine comes from clay-limestone soils rich in marl. Certified organic, the grapes are fully destemmed before a 30-day fermentation in stainless steel tanks with regular punch-downs. It is then aged for 12 months in oak barrels, 30% new, followed by 6 months in tank on fine lees, ensuring balance and finesse.
Viticultural notes
The south-facing exposure provides ideal sunlight for full berry ripening. The limestone-rich soils bring tension and elegance, while marl layers add aromatic depth. Certified organic farming has been practiced for many years, ensuring an authentic expression of the terroir and highlighting the typicity and finesse of this Bergerac wine.
Tasting notes
Deep red in color, the wine reveals an expressive bouquet of ripe blackberries and minty licorice. The palate is supple and refined, carried by silky tannins. A harmonious balance of structure and freshness defines the profile, leading to a long and persistent finish that showcases the purity and precision of this cuvée.
Pairing notes
Best enjoyed after decanting to release its full aromatic expression. Serve between 16 and 18 °C to reveal both freshness and balance. It pairs beautifully with grilled red meats, tender game, or slow-cooked dishes, and also complements aged cheeses, offering refined and harmonious food pairings
