Winemaking notes
The vinification process of this wine follows traditional methods with temperature control on the skin. The fermentation takes place at a temperature of 25-28 °C, spanning a duration of 6 days, including maceration on the skins for a total of 20 days. Following this, the aging process involves 15 months in tonneaux, an additional 3 months in cement vats, and a minimum of 1 year in the bottle. This meticulous process contributes to the wine's depth and complexity, offering a well-rounded and matured character.
Viticultural notes
This exceptional wine bears the prestigious designation of Chianti Classico Gran Selezione D.O.C.G., a testament to its superior quality. With a limited production of 13,000 bottles, the vineyard sits at an altitude of 340 meters above sea level. The soil composition is characterized by a medium clayey and silty mixture, enriched with Galestro Toscano, featuring an abundance of pebbles and a limestone skeleton. The yield is meticulously managed, with five tonnes of grapes per hectare, ensuring a concentration of flavors and the distinctive terroir characteristics in each bottle.
Tasting notes
Soft ruby red color, very delicate. Velvety start that develops in a wide envelopment. The progression is linear, with a light sapidity that is the prelude to a long and persistent finish.
