CONO SUR ORGANIC RED BLEND PAIRING WITH MAPLE SYRUP BACON BURGER
Makes 4 servings Total Time 40 Minutes
Ingredients
For the meat:
800 g of ground beef
1 egg
2 tbsp. of garlic powder
2 tbsp. of onion powder
1 tbsp. of freshly ground black pepper
2 tbsp. of salt
For the bacon:
450 g of sliced bacon
¼ cup of brown sugar
¼ cup of honey
¼ cup of Maple Syrup
For the Caramelized onion:
2 big onions cut into thin half-moons
4 tbsp. of butter
½ cup of brown sugar
For serving
4 slices of Cheddar Cheese
4 slices of tomatoes
4 Burger buns
Lettuce leafs
Step 1: The Meat
In a medium bowl mix the ground beef with spices. Gently form mixture into a patty. In a pan over medium-high heat, cook the burgers for about 8 minutes per side. After two minutes, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each burger.
Step 2: The Bacon
In a frying pan, cook the bacon for about 10 minutes and baste each side with maple syrup glaze, honey and the sugar mix.
Step 3: Caramelized Onions
Slice the onions into thin half-moons. Melt butter in a pan and add the onions. Add the brown sugar and stir. Cook for about 15 minutes until the onions are soft and brown.
Step 5: To Serve
Bottom half each burger bun and add the burger patty with the melted cheese sitting on top. Add the Bacon rashers over the meat, then the tomato slices and lettuce leaf. Finally add the bread lid closing.
