Masi Agricola represents a wine history dating back two and a half centuries to 1772, when the Boscaini family acquired the prestigious vineyards in the small valley called “Vaio dei Masi,” the origin of the company’s name. With resounding consistency and a passion for quality winemaking, the company is still in family hands, run by the sixth and seventh generations. Rooted in Valpolicella Classica, Masi produces and distributes Amarone and other premium wines inspired by the values of the Venetian territories to more than 120 countries worldwide. Masi also produces wines from the historic Serego Alighieri estate in Valpolicella, the Bossi Fedrigotti Estate in Trentino, as well as owning the organically run estates of Poderi del Bello Ovile in Tuscany and Masi Tupungato in Argentina. In 2017, Masi acquired 60% of Canevel Spumante in Valdobbiadene, giving it a foothold in the heartland of Prosecco. A leader in the art of producing Amarone, Masi constantly innovates and passes on its expertise in the appassimento method, which has been practised since the time of the ancient Romans Masi bases its own activities on social, ethical and environmental values. Care and respect for the environment are part of the Masi culture and philosophy. The use of native grapes, indigenous winemaking methods and the continuing research and experimentation carried out by its progressive Technical Group, make Masi one of the most famous producers of high-quality Italian wines in the world.
