Viticultural notes
A region characterized by a temperate oceanic climate, with mild winters and relatively cool summers, though recent climatic trends show warmer periods during the growing season. The soils are diverse—ranging from well-drained gravel to clay-limestone—each contributing uniquely to the complexity and character of the wines produced.
Tasting notes
A beautiful, deep and intense purple-red color. The nose reveals bold aromas of black fruits (blackcurrant, blackberry, blueberry) along with notes of peony and violet, all supported by a subtly licorice-tinged backbone. On the palate, the attack is round, almost sweet, with flavors of crunchy, juicy fruit. Mineral and floral nuances carry the tasting through a fine, silky tannic structure.
Pairing notes
Serve at a temperature of 16–18°C. This wine pairs beautifully with roasted duck breast, grilled rib-eye steak, or a cassoulet. Aged cheeses such as Cantal or Saint-Nectaire also complement the youthful tannins of a young Bordeaux.
