Winemaking notes
Produced from very old vines (over 70 years old) and the selection of the best terroirs of the Château, a low yield of about 40 hl/ha, make this wine our flagship vintage. Total destemming. Long vatting with several complete delestages. Aged in new oak barrels for 12 months.

Tasting notes
Deep and sustained garnet color. Fine, harmonious nose with aromas of roasting (coffee/chocolate), vanilla and prunes due to its ageing in oak barrels as well as small black fruits. Very nice attack on the palate, full-bodied, concentrated, fleshy, generous and fat. We find here, the very expression of a good balance between wine and wood followed by a beautiful length.
- 3,5 stars, Le Guide du vin Phaneuf 2019, mill. 2015
Pairing notes
Drink it at 17-18°C with roasts, cassoulet, red meats, dark sauces, cheeses and dark chocolate. It is the wine of guard par excellence.
