Winemaking notes
This small-batch release has been matured for five years in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels then finished for six months in first-fill Madeira hogsheads. The result is an exceptionally sweet whisky with an extraordinary depth of flavour, rich in colour, warmth and vibrance.
Viticultural notes
Wolfburn is the most northerly whisky distillery on the Scottish mainland, and our master craftsmen fashion their whisky the same way it has always been made: by hand, using only the finest ingredients, and without haste.
Tasting notes
Sweet and full – give it time and a whole array of flavours unfurl. Gentle notes of burnt sugar lead the way, overlaid with hints of soft oak and vanilla tones. Hazelnut and gentle hints of orange are present too.
