Cademusa

"Cademusa" is an ancient name, which identifies a territory, a culture, an history, in a Sicily with well-defined sounds, vivid colors and intense aromas. The history of Cademusa begins in 1182, when King Guglielmo II gives 72 feuds to the Archbishopric of Monreale. "Cademusa" was one of those feuds, close to the city of Alcamo, the land of one of the first Sicilian DOC wines

Across the Centuries

Its particularly advantageous position and the legendary agricultural vocation of that land made it the subject of contention for centuries and today, almost a thousand years later there are some of the vineyards of Cantine Ermes.

A vocated Land

The grapes that most represent this area are the Sicilian autochthonous, such as Inzolia or Nerello Mascalese, but they are not the only varietals to give their best on the territory, starting point for great white and red wines.
