Winemaking notes
80 % of the harvest is hand picked and 20 % is through mechanical picking. Grapes are sourced from multi-climatic situated vineyards in the Central Valley: coastal, southern and mountain estates add to the complexity of the wine. The wine spends 9 months in stainless steel tanks followed by an additional 9 months in barrels.
Viticultural notes
Red clay and granite are found in the coastal and southern estate vineyards. The soils are of gravel and alluvial in the mountain estates. Cool nights with foggy mornings are constant.
Tasting notes
Purple red in colour, this is a voluptuous Pinot Noir with rich fruit notes of cherry, raspberry, plum and strawberry. Subtle smokey hints in the mouth and sweet fruit notes stand out, its fine tannins give it a great texture and balanced structure. A New World style, this is a wine of personality and elegance. It is a young and refreshing Pinot Noir that can also be enjoyed chilled!
Pairing notes
Pairs very well with grilled poultry, seafood, red meats and aged cheeses. Also an amazing sipper on its own.
