Winemaking notes
We decide the type and length of ageing individually for each vintage, using a combination of stainless steel, concrete, and ageing on the lees in used oak barriques.
Viticultural notes
Bideona is located in the heart of Rioja Alavesa. Founded in 2018. 300 vineyard plots on the slopes of the Sierra Cantabria, mainly in the villages of Villabuena de Âlava, Leza, Samaniego, Laguardia, Navaridas and Banos del Ebro. Average age 50 years. Made from hilltop vineyards (cabezadas) on limestone soils, with a small amount of wine aged in used oak to give it texture.
Tasting notes
Fresh and subtle nose, pure aromas of stone fruit with a touch of white flowers and struck match. Light and crisp on the palate with a refreshingly dry, slightly minerai finish. An elegant, dry white wine, with delicate aromas which do not overpower food.
Pairing notes
Perfect with poultry, seafood and vegetables.
