Winemaking notes
This wine is crafted using traditional methods, with skin fermentation at 26 °C for 15 days. It undergoes 24 months of aging in small oak barrels, enhancing its structure and complexity, followed by 2 months in bottle before release. This process highlights the noble character of the grape variety and the elegance of the appellation.
Viticultural notes
The vineyard, situated at 350 m above sea level, thrives on calcareous soils from the Pliocene era, ideal for cultivating Sangiovese. With 5000 plants per hectare trained in the Guyot system and yields limited to 8 tonnes per hectare, meticulous care ensures optimal quality.
Tasting notes
A remarkable Tuscan wine based on Sangiovese, it showcases a ruby-red hue evolving into garnet with age. The bouquet is characterized by intense violet aromas. On the palate, it reveals silky and pleasant tannins, perfect harmony, and a richness that underscores its distinction.
Pairing notes
Serve at 18 °C to accompany hearty dishes such as stews or roasted meats. Decant an hour before serving to fully enhance its aromas and tannic structure.
