Winemaking notes
A love letter to the spirit of the California Summer. Each wine is made in the signature Jayson Woodbridge style and has range of expressions based upon the selection of unique micro-vineyard blocks, dappled across the Western Sonoma Coast of California. The style is focused on purity of fruit and vibrancy on the palate. With its cooler climate vineyard selection, the wine showcases flavors more akin to Twilight and Super Chill.
Viticultural notes
A rare, fine-grained sandy loam, Goldridge soils are known for excellent drainage, and a characteristically light and fluffy texture. Some of the particularly unique sites have Goldridge layered on top of ancient seabed where finding fossils in the soil is not unusual and a clay content that helps the soil retain precious moisture during the growing season. The coastal climate of the region is marked by warm, dry summers and cool, damp winters.
Tasting notes
The wine is vibrant and complex with subtle dark fruits and berries, grandmother’s cherry pie, flowers, minerals, and a slight touch of rain-soaked earth, intertwined with a balance and very pleasing easy-going luxury. Should have been priced higher but what the hell. —JAYSON WOODBRIDGE
