Winemaking notes
This wine is hand-harvested, followed by 2 days of cold maceration and a 5-day fermentation in stainless steel tanks, with regular pumping-over. Malolactic fermentation is also completed in stainless steel tanks. Around 5% of the wine is aged for 12 months in new American oak barrels, and 15% in older barrels. Refining and filtration are carried out before bottling.
Viticultural notes
Man Cabernet Sauvignon comes from vineyards located in the Agter-Paarl (Coastal Region). The Malmesbury Shale soils allow for excellent water retention and the production of concentrated, flavorful grapes. It combines the rich fruitiness of New World wines with the elegance and charm of European wines.
Tasting notes
Aromas of red fruit, mint, cigar box and black cherry. Fruity, easy-drinking wine with notes of spices, black berries (blackcurrant, blackberry) and roasting. Supple, medium-bodied tannins. Fruity, slightly woody finish.
Pairing notes
A perfect accompaniment to grilled or roasted red meat, grilled poultry with rosemary, pasta or cold meats.
