Marisco Vineyards was initially conceived in 2003 by Brent Marris (Owner and Chief Winemaker). After its first vintage in 2006, Marisco has become known for their world-renowned brands The Ned, The Kings Series and a niche brand, The Craft Series. All their varietals are sourced from the Waihopai Valley of Marlborough, New Zealand - a location which provides a near perfect environment for producing wines of such distinctive character.

A NEW WORLD TRADITION

Driven by a love of winemaking, Brent Marris was the first Marlborough native to become a qualified winemaker. After assisting to propel other major New Zealand wine brands, a new tradition was started with his own project of Marisco.

MARLBOROUGH DREAMING

Upon an exceptional 268-hectare property on the banks of the Waihopai River in Marlborough, the spectacular planted fruit of the Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir thrive in this perfect climate.

FAMILY ROOTS

Brent Marris researched his family tree in 2009 and found that his name derived from William de Marisco, a descendant of King Henry I. He promptly resurrected the original family name for the business and Marisco Vineyards was born.
