Winemaking notes
Samma undergoes prolonged skin maceration for 15 days, enhancing color and tannin extraction. Fermentation occurs in small stainless steel tanks at a controlled 26°C, preserving the fresh aromas of Cabernet Franc. The wine ages for 12 months in oak barrels, followed by at least 6 months in bottle, refining its structure and complexity.
Viticultural notes
The vines, located at 150 meters altitude, grow on feldspathic quartz sandstone soil with skeletal rocks, providing optimal drainage. With a density of 5000 plants/ha and a yield of 4 tons/ha, Samma benefits from spur pruning and espalier training, ensuring excellent sun exposure and ripeness, while preserving high grape quality.
Tasting notes
With remarkable complexity and elegance, Samma delivers intense aromas of ripe red fruits, subtle spices, and a delicate oak influence. On the palate, it is structured with velvety tannins and a long finish. This Cabernet Franc pairs beautifully with game dishes, roasted meats, and aged cheeses, showcasing its powerful yet refined character.
Pairing notes
Serve this wine at 16-18°C to fully appreciate its ripe fruit, spice, and fine oak aromas. It pairs wonderfully with game, roasted meats, and aged cheeses. With its balance of power and elegance, Samma is ideal for sophisticated meals or special occasions.
