Winemaking notes
Primary fermentation with native and selected yeasts; spontaneous malolactic fermentation in barrel; 12 months sur-lie aging, 50% new French oak. Bottled unfined.
Viticultural notes
Valle de Uco. Located at high altitude (above 1000 meters), the vines are trained to vertical shoot positioning with drip irrigation. Vine age less than 15 years. Coarse sandy loam with sharp stones eroded in the upper layers.
Tasting notes
Brilliant pale straw to straw colour with a watery hue. Pronounced aromas of crème brulee, ripe peaches and apricot intermix with lemon butter, bees wax, honeycomb, hints of butterscotch and spicy cashew. Texturally full and rich this is a big mouthfilling style of Chardonnay.
