Winemaking notes
The 2022 Cocodrilo Corte is composed of fruit from Luján de Cuyo and Uco Valley and aged for 15 months in 40% new French oak.
Viticultural notes
The vineyards are located in the Uco Valley (Los Arboles, Gualtallary) and in Luján de Cuyo (Perdriel, Las Compuertas, Agrelo).
Situated at high elevation: 2,789 - 4.593 feet (850 - 1,400 meters).
The climate is semi-desert.
Tasting notes
Deep ruby red with dark hues. Supported by notes of graphite and cigar box that underpin a generous core of plum and blackcurrant. The whole is stretched out by lively acidity, adding hints of dried sage and aniseed in a long finish carried by precise tannins. On the palate, it is balanced and juicy, with soft tannins and a long finish.
Pairing notes
Pairs well with roasted meats and aged cheeses.
