Felino Chardonnay 2022

Ageing in stainless steel tanks, without malolactic fermentation. Aged in new French oak barrels (10%) for 6 months. Bottled in September 2021.

The 2021 season was one of the best in the last 10 years. Snowfall during the winter was much higher than the previous year. The cool summer and intermittent rainfall meant that the plants vegetated in good conditions and matured slowly. Areas with rocky soils and good drainage have reached very good concentration and complexity.

Classic aromas of peach, fresh apricot and pear chardonnay are complicated by sexy nuances of flowers, hazelnuts and spices. Rich, smooth and ripe on the palate, with just the right amount of framing acidity to maintain its balance; The woody component of the wine is under control. The slightly phenolic finish offers a saline touch and dusty minerality.
