Winemaking notes
Manual harvest over 5 successive tries (Oct. 1–31), selecting only botrytis-affected berries. Gentle pressing, fermentation in French oak barrels. Aged 18 months in barrel for slow, harmonious oak integration. Final blend: 86% Sémillon, 14% Sauvignon Blanc. Crafted under the guidance of oenologist Éric Boissenot.
Viticultural notes
AOC Sauternes, 1st Classified Growth 1855. Clay-limestone soils over gravel subsoil, ideal exposure for Botrytis cinerea development. The 2012 vintage demanded swift, rigorous selection ahead of autumn rains — lower than average volume, but exceptional quality throughout.
Tasting notes
Deep golden with amber hues. Intense nose of candied fruits, apricot and exotic notes with elegant floral nuances typical of Sigalas Rabaud's terroir. Fresh and well-balanced on the palate. Lively acidity extends the finish beautifully. A wine of great elegance.
Pairing notes
Serve between 9°C and 11°C.
