Winemaking notes
Made from approximately 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay and a proportion of 30% wines vinified in wood, the Vintage cuvée is aged on average 4 years on the lees and also benefits from a rest of 6 minimum months after disgorgement to perfect its maturity.
Viticultural notes
Fascinated by the diversity of aromatic expression of Pinot noir in Champagne, Louis Roederer elaborates his Vintage cuvée on the structure and power of Pinot noirs from the Montagne de Reims, where the vines, exposed to the North-East, are slower to mature. The personality of this great wine is refined and intensifies remarkably with aging in wood and time.
Tasting notes
Golden yellow color with brilliant and shimmering reflections. The first nose is subtle and develops in the register of orchard fruits, apple, pear then slightly honeyed sweet flowers. Aromas of citrus fruits and tangy red fruits. The attack on the palate is rich, concentrated, broad fruity and deep.
