Renowned winemaker and ex-rock band manager Charles Smith began his passion for wine with various restaurant experiences in his youth. A pioneering winemaker of Washington State that has attracted the attention and acclaim of the entire wine world. His first vintage produced was in 1999 of 330 cases which has exceeded all expectations to its present day of having the largest urban winery on the west coast, Jet City in Seattle, Washington.

Located in the base of the Blue Mountains in Walla Walla (Washington State), K Vintners winery was opened in 2001. Long standing relationships with wine growers in Washington State continue to flourish and be honoured with a handshake agreement.
