Winemaking notes
Grapes selected from Douro vineyards with good ripeness, freshness and acidity. Gentle pressing and cold settling. Fermentation takes place between 16 and 18°C. At this temperature, fermentation lasts around twenty days. The wine is then aged in stainless steel tanks for 6 months, followed by rigorous selection, clarification and stabilization before bottling.
Viticultural notes
The region is bordered by mountain ranges to the north, west and south, and by the Spanish border to the east. Most of the soil is schist. This has the ability to store heat during the day and redistribute it throughout the night. In general, soils are poor in organic content and phosphorus, moderately rich in potassium and acidic, with a sandy, loamy texture.
Tasting notes
The wine has a lemon-yellow color with golden highlights. Its aromas are very intense, with floral notes predominating, as well as tropical fruit and a slight minerality. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, lively and well-balanced by acidity, with floral and white-fleshed fruit notes. The finish is long and persistent.
Pairing notes
This wine is the perfect accompaniment to fish, seafood, white meats, pasta and salads. It's best drunk young, but will keep its characteristics for 4/5 years if kept in good conditions.
