Winemaking notes
The grapes harvested by hand are fermented in 55 hl oak vats, with a maceration of 20 days at a temperature between 27°C and 30°C. Malolactic fermentation is carried out in vats. This wine is aged for a minimum of 3 years, including 2 years in medium-sized oak barrels, followed by additional ageing in bottles before being marketed.
Viticultural notes
The Cerequio 2020 is Barolo wine from a 3-hectare vineyard near the village of La Morra, in the heart of a beautiful amphitheater. This south-south-west oriented terroir is planted on a clay-limestone soil, rich in magnesium and manganese.
Tasting notes
Brillant in colour, seductives with its ruby red and garnet hue. Intense and complexx, the nose exudes fragrances of ripe fruit, eucalyptus, gentian and fine spices. The palate, elegant and harmonious reveals a rich structure and particularly fine tannins over the course of the tasting.
Pairing notes
For optimal tasting, serve at 18°C. Pair elegantly with truffle tagliolini, roast meat, or mature cheeses for a refined pairing with this Piedmont wine.
