Tasting notes
90 Points, Whisky Advocate "First released in 2006, this expression was distilled from organically certified barley and aged in virgin oak casks. Spicy new oak and subtle smoke on the nose, with white pepper, bananas, cereal, and cut grass. The palate is oily, with more pepper, hazelnuts dipped in honey, and tropical fruits. Vanilla and toffee on the slowly drying finish.”
90 Points, Wine Enthusiast "This five-year-old Speyside single malt is certified organic by the Soil Association Certification—a distinction not often seen on Scotch labels. The spirit inside has an enticing apple and pear aroma. The palate is relatively hot, leading with oak and spice into a long vanilla finish. Adding water softens the profile to vanilla cream, plus a hint of lemon and ginger on the long, drying finish.”
