Winemaking notes
In partnership with each respective distillery, all whiskies in our 'Rare Vintage' range are
uniquely labelled. In years gone by many of these unique designs were used ‘officially’
to bottle the whisky under licence from the distillery. Today these trusted relationships
with distillers enables Gordon & MacPhail to bottle exclusive vintages of single malt at
various strengths all with their unique distillery label Glen Grant Distillery is nestled deep in the heart of Speyside overlooking the majestic
River Spey. Glen Grant was established in 1840 by two brothers, the previously illicit
distillers, John and James Grant. The Glen Grant spirit is world renowned for its light,
gentle character, due in part to the unique, almost square, section between the stills’
pot and the neck and the purifiers on the lyne arms
Tasting notes
Defined Sherry influences with stewed
apples, beeswax and lemon. A subtle
menthol edge develops. The palate is
peppery initially with orange and dark
chocolate flavours. A bonfire ember
edge lingers.
