Winemaking notes
After a winter marked by significant temperature variations and an early spring with summer colors, a very intense frost affected the whole of Burgundy. The months follow one another between rainy periods and high temperatures. Summer is characterized by episodes of heat and humidity and the end of August is marked by the arrival of cool, autumnal temperatures. The sun takes over in mid-September at the start of the harvest which will take place under beautiful sunshine. The white wines are elegant with floral notes and well balanced when tasting.
Viticultural notes
This 1.90 hectare vineyard is ideally located mid-slope on a hillside near the Corton-Charlemagne vines. It has the same geology and is at the same altitude as its illustrious neighbor, but is differentiated by its northern exposure. In summary: an exceptional terroir marked by intense minerality. Soil: Clay-limestone and stony.
Tasting notes
Floral notes (acacia and hawthorn) on scents of citrus and green apple enhanced by a note of wet stone and a touch of lemon. Well balanced and well structured. Dense and precise texture with well-integrated acidity. Fine tension. Long and slightly saline finish. Score: 92/100 The World of Fine Wines.
Pairing notes
Shellfish, pan-fried scallops, turbot with cream. Regional cheeses (Epoisses, citeaux) and Comté.
