‘Private Collection’ features a truly exceptional and unique range of greatly aged single malts from a mixture of celebrated, little-known and now closed distilleries across Scotland. Personally selected by members of the Urquhart family, owners of Gordon & MacPhail, each release in our 'Private Collection' is a unique and exquisite chapter in Scotland's history of whisky.

This super 38 year old Highland single malt was laid to rest at the Old Pulteney distillery on the 2nd June 1982 and bottled by Gordon & MacPhail for their Private Collection on the 15th December 2020. Charged from refill American hogshead number 861 at a natural cask strength 57.1% ABV

Rich honey aromas combine with sweet lime zest and vanilla. Subtle apple notes lead to a hint of fudge. Sweet flavours of honeydew melon and lemon are accompanied by soft white pepper. Medium bodied finish, smooth with toasted oak.
