Winemaking notes
Slow fermentation between 15 and 17°C. Aged in French oak barrels for 4 months.
Viticultural notes
The Serego Alighieri vineyards in Cinigiano, Val d'Orcia, are at the heart of the Montecucco DOC appellation. Altitude: 110 meters ASL (part slope, part flat). The vineyards face west. The soil is friable, rather sandy, with clayey areas in the hills.
Tasting notes
Floral, white currant and vanilla aromas on the nose. Strong character with notes of white melon and dried apricot on the palate. Sustained acidity makes the wine fresh, lively and long on the palate.
Pairing notes
Fish, white meats and vegetable dishes.
