Winemaking notes
The grapes are gently pressed immediately after harvest, and the must is quickly cooled and clarified. Fermentation takes place slowly in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures between 15 and 17°C, using selected yeasts. Malolactic fermentation is not carried out in order to preserve freshness and natural acidity.
After fermentation, the wine is aged on fine lees for four months before bottling, enhancing texture and complexity while maintaining a fresh profile.
Viticultural notes
Tripoggi is located in Cinigiano, in the heart of Val d’Orcia in Tuscany, where vineyards are cultivated under certified organic practices. Planted at an altitude of 110 meters with a facing exposure, the vines benefit from a Mediterranean climate that ensures balanced ripening.
This Vermentino Toscana IGT comes from soils that are predominantly sandy with some clay content, providing both good drainage and water retention, which contributes to aromatic finesse and balance in the wine.
Tasting notes
he wine shows a deep yellow color with golden reflections. The nose is expressive and dominated by floral aromas with hints of white currant. On the palate, it is generous and well-structured, revealing notes of white melon and pear, complemented by a subtle touch of fresh mint. The acidity is well-balanced, bringing freshness and length to an elegant and refined finish.
Pairing notes
This wine pairs beautifully with fresh pasta and risottos, as well as fish, white meats, and vegetable-based dishes. Served well chilled, it also works perfectly as an aperitif alongside light appetizers.
It is best served between 8 and 10°C.
