Winemaking notes
Hand-picked in small crates, followed by meticulous sorting. Whole bunch pressing. Fermentation in barrel at low temperature (16°C) for 15-20 days, favoring aromatic complexity and freshness.
Aged on fine lees in French oak barrels (20% new, 1 to 6 years old, 228L) in our 15th-century Bastion. Careful selection of coopers and toast used to bring out the best in each terroir. Bottled according to the lunar calendar.
Viticultural notes
The “Les Hauts Marconnets” vineyard is located at the upper part of the Savigny-lès-Beaune slope, facing south-east, close to the Premier Cru slopes of Beaune.
The vineyard covers approximately 2.1 hectares on sandy and limestone soils, which contribute to the wine’s minerality and pure expression of Chardonnay.
Tasting notes
Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru “Les Hauts Marconnets” 2024 displays a pale golden color.
The nose reveals delicate floral fragrances alongside white and yellow stone fruit aromas, notably apricot, with subtle smoky nuances.
On the palate, the wine is well-balanced and precise, offering a round and generous texture. The oak is beautifully integrated, leading to a long, fresh finish with gentle hints of vanilla.
